Our Healthy Hoosier cold-pressed Canola Oil has unique health benefits. Containing a-linolenic acid (omega-3) and linoleic (omega-6) essential fatty acids makes it one of the healthiest cooking oils, a ratio better than olive oil.

   Addressing Canola's high levels of plant sterols, the Food and Drug Administration has made the following statement.

   "Limited and not conclusive scientific evidence suggest that eating about 1 1/2 tablespoons (19 grams) of Canola oil daily may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease due to the unsaturated fat content in canola oil. To achieve this possible benefit, use canola oil to replace a similar amount of saturated fat and not increase the total number of calories you eat in a day.


    Phyto-sterols found in Healthy Hoosier Canola Oil competitively inhibit cholesterol absorption in the digestive tract and thereby can reduce cholesterol levels by 10% to 15%.

      Canola oil contains valuable amounts of anti-oxidant vitamin E, particularly gamma-tocopherol.  Vitamin E is a powerful lipid soluble antioxidant, required for maintaining the integrity of cell membrane and skin by protecting it from harmful oxygen-free radicals.
